Place the regular craft stick two inches down from the top of the wooden spoon spatula, and draw a line with a pencil.
Print the patterns. Using the pattern sheet as your guide, paint the top third of the wooden spoon with white acrylic craft paint with a scallop edge. Let dry and apply a second coat, if necessary.
Step 2
Basecoat from the pencil line up with white acrylic craft paint. Using a small flat paintbrush, add vertical stripes with red acrylic craft paint.
Basecoat the regular craft stick with blue acrylic craft paint. Let dry and apply a second coat, if necessary.
Step 3
Attach the blue craft stick to the painted edge of the wooden spoon spatula with a glue gun and glue sticks.
This becomes the hat brim. Trim ½” from each end of the craft stick with scissors.
Step 4
Paint the handle of the wooden spoon spatula with blue acrylic craft paint. Let dry and apply a second coat, if necessary.
Step 5
Attach two wiggle eyes to Uncle Sam’s face with a glue gun and glue sticks. Create cheeks by dipping a new pencil eraser in pink acrylic craft paint and dotting on the right and left side under the wiggle eyes.
Step 6
Print the patterns, then cut out with scissors. Trace the beard and mustache onto white craft foam with a pencil, and then cut out with scissors.
Attach the beard, and then the mustache with a glue gun and glue sticks. Trim the rounded end from a regular craft stick with scissors and glue just under the wiggle eyes as Uncle Sam’s nose.
Step 7
Attach three red buttons to the handle of the wooden spoon spatula with a glue gun and glue sticks.
Step 8
