Upcycled vase from pasta sauce jar
Transform your kitchen waste into a beautiful décor item with this upcycled vase project using a repurposed pasta jar. Easy, fun, and eco-friendly!

Equipment
- Painters tape
- paint brushes
- scissors
- jute twine
Materials
- Cleaned pasta sauce jar
- chalk paint in gray, black and white
Instructions
- Start by painting the entire jar with 3 coats of the white chalk paint. Once completely dry add strips of the painters tape. So lay 3 pieces down next to each other
- And then remove the middle one to create a striped look
- Using the gray paint, paint the spaces in between the tape
- Then repeat the same process with the tape but horizontally
- Paint the in between lines using the gray paint. I did a few coats of the gray paint
- Using the black paint on alternating squares paint black to give the buffalo check look
- I wrapped the top of the jar completely with twine and then tied in a bow
