Spicy Asian Party Mix Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups crispy corn crackers
  • 2 cups crispy rice cereal squares
  • 2 cups Doritos
  • 2 cups sesame or poppy seeds rice crackers
  • 1 cup small pretzels
  • 1/4 cup dry-roasted peanuts
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon curry powder
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
  • Cooking spray

Spicy Asian Party Mix Recipe

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 200 F = 95 C
  • Mix the cereal, peanuts, Doritos, pretzels and crackers in a large bowl and set aside.
  • Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  • Add sugar and remaining ingredients, stirring with a whisk so the mixture doesn’t make clumps.
  • Slowly pour butter mixture over cereal crackers mixture, tossing gently to coat.
  • Spread the mixture onto a baking sheet coated with cooking spray.
  • Bake for 10 minutes. Check periodically so the mix won’t burn (I had a little problem with the cereal as they were softer; they baked faster than the other ingredients so you might wanna add those a little later; if you choose to do this, coat them with the sauce separately and add a few minutes after the others)
  • When almost ready, sprinkle sesame seeds and bake for 2 more minutes.
  • Cool completely before serving.
