Tips and tricks for perfectly crunchy garlic bread chips

  • Use day old bread, it will be easier to cut in thin slices without tearing them apart.
  • Don’t use too much butter as this will make the chips greasy and soggy. A thin layer is enough.
  • Slice the bread evenly so all chips bake evenly. If they’re not even, some might get burned while others won’t get crispy at all. Use a serrated knife and cut slowly for best results.
  • Keep an eye on the chips while baking as they can brown quickly. It’s better to check them more often than ending up with burnt chips.
  • Flip the chips halfway through baking for even browning on both sides.

Creative ways to serve garlic bread chips

  • Serve with a variety of dips such as marinara sauce, ranch dressing, hummus or your favorite cheese dip.
  • Crush the garlic bread chips and use them as a topping for salads or soups.
  • Serve as a side dish instead of plain bread with your favorite pasta or soup recipe.
  •  Turn them into mini sandwiches by adding your favorite fillings between two chips.
  • Sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese and herbs for an extra savory flavor.
  • Use the garlic bread chips to scoop up your favorite dip or salsa instead of tortilla chips.

The possibilities are endless when it comes to serving these delicious garlic bread chips!

Cheese dip variations to pair with garlic bread chips

  • Try adding different types of cheeses such as blue cheese, cheddar, gouda or pepper jack for a more complex and flavorful dip.
  • Add in some diced jalapenos or hot sauce for a spicy kick.
  • Mix in some crumbled bacon or cooked ground beef for added texture and flavor.
  • For a creamy and tangy dip, mix in some sour cream or Greek yogurt.
  • Experiment with different herbs and spices such as rosemary, thyme, or paprika for a unique twist on the classic cheese dip.
